One of the easiest ways to use Mozy to restore your lost data is through the web restore feature. The first thing you’re going to do is go the the Mozy login page and sign in. Once signed in you need to click the My Computers link and on the next page click the Restore Files page. Once here you’ll want to select the File System tab and choose all the files you want to restore.
When finished click Continue in the lower right hand corner. You’ll now have to choose one of two delivery methods:
- Web Restore – Choose this option and Mozy will email you a link to download your files. If you selected a lot of files this may take a couple days, but remember that the link will only work for 7 days.
- DVD Restore – Mozy will mail you a DVD containing your files. However, there is a processing and handling fee for this option.
Once you have your files (either via the emailed link or DVD) you just save them to the desired location on your computer. Congratulations you should now be ready to rock and roll again.
